| International Lift Equipment Limited was established in 1976 and right from the start quality has
always been a key issue. In 1991 the company were successfully assessed and registered as meeting
the requirements of ISO 9001. This certification via the BSI who are a notified body meets the
requirements of the European Lift Directive which affords ILE the legal entitlement
to design, manufacture, supply, install and test lift equipment. |

| In 1997 together with Cameron Design, ILE designed the Variable Geometry Safety Gear.
A totally reliable and unique product based on ILE's customer requirements for the
reconstruction market in the UK and the independent lift sector in Europe and the Far East. |

| During 2001 the Leicester site moved to new premises in order to expand production facilities,
increase output, update equipment, improve training facilities and to progress the Research and
Development. This was done against a backdrop of erosion of the british manufacturing base. |

| Also in 2001 SKYCOM, the new ILE controller was launched, utilising surface mount technology along
with a front wired rack-mounted plug in board system, a graphical LCD and keypad. SKYCOM offers
serial indicators, speech units, and Windows based software parameterisation. |

| Today the company boasts a 22,000 sq. ft. office and warehouse in Chingford and a 65,000 sq. ft.
manufacturing outlet and office facility in Leicester. Together they employ over 140 people. |
