 - With litigation following accidents becoming more and more
   prevalent, the advent of the Disability Discrimination act,
   and the introduction of EN81-70 meaning a requirement for
   accuracy of ± 10mm, it is important that lift installations give
   floor levelling accuracy. On both single and two speed lift
   systems this level of accuracy can be very difficult to
   achieve and maintain.

 - The options are to replace the motor or interface an inverter
   to run in conjunction with the current setup. Replacing the
   motor can be expensive and require long delivery and
   installation periods.

 - ILE and Loher have produced a solution requiring minimal
   interfacing with the existing controller, with installation time
   approx 8 hours.

 - The Loher inverter is suitable for open loop operation upto
   1.2mps with a floor level accuracy of ± 5mm and closed loop
   operation upto 2.5mps with a floor level accuracy of ± 3mm.

 - ILE can produce system to suit most motor ratings but this
   arrangement is most suitable for use with motors rated
   between 4 & 25KW upto approx 50A full load current.

 - Closed loop requires a 1024 pulse HTL 10-30V encoder.

Pawl Device  Pawl Device : Features

 - The ILE Pawl Device has been designed for use on either
   traction or hydraulic lift/platform systems to prevent
   un-controlled descent of the carriage.
 - When the lift has stopped at floor level the solenoid is
   de-energised, the actuator will be released via spring
   pressure. Un-controlled descent will be prevented
   by keeper plates in the shaft.
 - The actuator solenoid must be engaged and the proving
   contact made before travel of the lift is permitted.
   The solenoid should not be energised whilst the actuator
   piston is under pressure.
