TORO - Geared  SASSI

 - In the ruined Italy of the immediate post war years
   reconstruction was a national priority. One of the leading
   protagonists, of this effort was the Alberto Sassi company,
   which managed by its founder, Mr. Alberto Sassi, started
   manufacturing essential building construction equipment,
   specializing in the production of gearboxes for lifts.

 -Their long experience in the lift industry has led them to
   adopt state of the art manufacturing solutions, customised
   for their particular requirements.

 - Their system monitors every aspect of production and is
   controlled by skilled personnel with extensive experience
   utilising the most advanced machine tools available. The
   components used in assembling gears and motors are
   designed, manufactured and inspected to achieve the
   highest possible precision of the machined surfaces.

Loher Motors  Loher

 - Loher have been manufacturing motors since 1895 and are
   respected throughout the lift industry for their high quality
   products. The motor range covers geared or gearless
   systems, machine room less options and escalator operation.

 - International Lift Equipment fully support this product and
   can offer options of motors mounted to either SASSI or
   Hollister-Whitney gear units complete with traction
   sheaves/diverters and bedplate.

SVM 250 Gearless  SVM 250 Gearless : Description
 - The motors are permanent-field synchronous type. There
   are 3 sizes of casings with different length but
   identical diameter.
 - In total there are 20 motor winding variations available,
   enabling torque for rated loads up to 2500kg. Depending
   on the traction sheave travelling speed of up to 3.5m/s
   can be achieved. With about 2.5 times the rated torque
   the available reserves in the starting and overload torque
   are more than adequate.
 - The drive brakes are manufactured by Mayr Type ROBA
   stop-silenzio. Two sperate brakes are fitted with mechanical
   hand release optional. The brakes are examined by the TÜV
   organisation for compliance with the EN81 standards. Each
   brake unit can be opened individually by electrical power.
 -The EC type approval certificate acc to EN81 for the upward
   travelling car is available.
 - Traction sheaves : 330, 400, 440, 480 & 520mm
 - The tacho generator used is the Heidenhaim ERN1387
   Sin/Cos Geber with 2048 sine-cosine periods per revolution.
 - The complete system is harmonized with the Loher Dynavert
   L 05 frequency inverter.

Conventional Motors  Conventional Motors : Description

 - Loher motors are available in a full range of sizes and either
   foot (IMB3) or flange mounting (IMB5) and are suitable for
   drive motors on either passenger or goods lifts with or
   without forced ventilation.

 - New motors supplied now tend to be mostly suitable for
   VVVF operation open or closed loop control however
   replacements for existing ACVV or two speed motors are
   available to special order.

 - International Lift Equipment act as the UK agent for Loher
   lift equipment including motors and drives. A full range
   of spares for inverter drives are kept in stock at the
   Leicester site. Inverter drive repairs/refurbishments are also
   carried out on the Leicester site.

 - The 'Q' range motors have the added benefit of the brakes
   being certified in accordance with EN81-1 as a safety device
   for uncontrolled upward car movement. Therefore negating
   the need for a bi-directional safety gear.
